Our state-of-the-art library provides a computer lab, meeting and group study rooms, and other quiet, comfortable learning spaces in order to provide UNC students, faculty, staff and other library users with the space they need to succeed in their academic endeavors.

First Time Users
Rooms 215, 227 and 329 require an orientation from ITS classroom support prior to first time use.
Room Information

Supported by a generous gift from Biogen Idec, this state-of-the-art computer classroom presents a wide range of teaching options.

The HSL Collaboration Center is a versatile, enclosed meeting room on the second floor of the HSL that is available for research teams and faculty to meet, use large screen display, present to in-room and online groups and conduct group video or web conferencing sessions in support of their research projects.

The Health Sciences Library has 20 group study rooms. These rooms are available via reservation only. The study rooms seat 3-5 people.

The Health Sciences Library has open seating available on floors One, Two, Four, Five, and in the Basement

Want a quiet place to yourself with limited distractions? Try one of the pods located in the Basement and on the Fourth Floor of the library. The pods are equipped with power, a light, tray for your laptop or book, and a foot stool!

Room 328 is a corner room with a maximum seating capacity of 12 and includes multimedia display/playback capabilities. Room 328 does have the capability for videoconferencing.

Room 329 is a small meeting room with multimedia capabilities and two white boards. Seating capacity: 12 people

Room 527 is an open study area located on the 5th floor of the library. Quiet and inviting with a bank of windows looking over MacNider Building.
