Module 4: Implementing Good Health Literacy Practices and Additional Resources

Health literacy builds cultural capital, which increases the likelihood that people will pursue healthier lifestyles. Combined with social resources, like self-help groups, adult reading programs, and neighborhood support, health literacy helps communities become more resilient and active participants in their health care.

This 4th and last module provides information on what you can do in your community to improve health literacy. It also provides links to a number of additional valuable resources to help you get started to improve health literacy in your local community, thereby making a positive impact on health outcomes.
