spacescollage.pngOur state-of-the-art library provides classrooms, meeting and group study rooms, and other quiet, comfortable learning spaces in order to provide UNC students, faculty, staff and other library users with the space they need to succeed in their academic endeavors.

The Health Sciences Library offers two classrooms containing computer stations for as many as 30 class participants.

While the Health Sciences Library is not set up to be a conference center, we do have the capacity to host conferences/meetings of up to 50 people. Our conference rooms offer wireless access and videoconferencing in room 328 which has the ability to link to up to three (3) remote sites simultaneously.

The Health Sciences Library is one of a few locations on the UNC-CH campus where faculty, students and staff can conduct video conferences with people anywhere in the world. Via two rooms in the HSL that have state-of-the-art equipment, people can communicate and collaborate in a cost effective and efficient fashion.

The Health Sciences Library has 20 group study rooms. The study rooms seat 4-10 people.  All study rooms have plasma screens for laptop display, Ethernet or Wi-Fi connections and dry erase boards.

The Health Sciences Library (HSL) Collaboration Center offers visualization and collaboration technology that can be used for research across disciplines, campuses, and continents; community outreach activities; clinical applications or educational programs.
