North Carolina residents can purchase a borrower’s card for an annual fee of $25.00. Please print out Borrower’s Application and bring in completed and signed form with a valid NC Driver’s License or other proof of NC Residency. During the first year, new borrowers are limited to five books at any given time.  After the first year this restriction may be removed. Computing

Public computers and scanners are available for use on the First floor of the library. You will need to get a guest pass from the User Services Desk by showing a valid photo ID. Guest passes are good for 60 minutes for the day, however the patron decides to use it (all at once vs. 20 minutes for three sessions throughout the day).

Guest wireless access is available throughout the Health Sciences Library via the UNC-Guest wireless network. This service provides web, email and VPN access to off-campus destinations and web only access to on-campus hosts, once you accept the terms and conditions for campus guest Wireless Internet Access. The UNC-Guest network does not provide access to library resources.

Visitors can print from the library’s computers. Printing from the UNC-Guest wireless network is not allowed.

Visitors can purchase a guest card for printing/copying from the Tar Heel Teller located on the First floor for $1.00. Cards start with a zero balance. Add value before using. A coin-operated photocopier is available on the first floor.
