Martha Riggins Anderson and H. McLeod Riggins Memorial Fund Collection

Anderson Riggins BookplateDr. H. McLeod Riggins was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1922. He was a recognized authority in pulmonary disease. In 1961 he received the Distinguished Service Award from UNC and in 1962 received the Swedish Medical Society’s 150th Anniversary Medal. Dr. Riggins passed away in 1973.

Martha Riggins Anderson, sister of Dr. H. McLeod Riggins, established the fund upon her death in 1978.
