Video Conferencing Rooms

The Health Sciences Library is one of a few locations on the UNC-CH campus where faculty, students and staff can conduct video conferences with people anywhere in the world. Via two rooms in the HSL that have state-of-the-art equipment, people can communicate and collaborate in a cost effective and efficient fashion.

Biogen Idec Classroom (Room 307)

Supported by a generous gift from Biogen Idec, this state-of-the-art computer classroom presents a wide range of teaching options.

Video Conferencing Technology:

The video conferencing technology allows link for up to 9 sites simultaneously. Orientation is required to use the video conferencing equipment. Contact ITS classroom support for an orientation.

Equipment:

The instructor’s station includes: a computer, a laptop connection, and an integrated touch control graphic panel.

Maximum seating capacity:

30 (each with computer access)

First-time users:

Room use requires an orientation with ITS classroom support prior to use.

Room 328

Room 328 is a corner room with a maximum seating capacity of 12 and includes multimedia display/playback capabilities. Room 328 is primarily a conference room, but may occasionally be used as a classroom. Those using the room for videoconferencing have priority over other reservations.
