White, Linares, Promote HSL at Annual Minority Health Conference

Although HSL librarians love helping patrons in the library, they also like to take their skills on the road!

Mary White and Brenda Linares promoted HSL services at the 38th Annual Minority Health Conference, held at the Friday Center on February 24. Major objectives of the conference are to highlight health issues of concern to people of color and to attract students interested in minority health to UNC’s Gillings School of Global Health.

White and Linares agreed that it was great to see people from all over the state and the country visit such a large minority health conference, and that they had fun sharing information about HSL services.
