New Room Use Policies

By wp_aedile February 17, 2017

The Health Sciences Library announces recent changes to its room reservation and use policies as a result of its migration to a new room reservation system. There is a combined room schedule and room request system. If you have made group study room reservations at HSL in the past, the new system will look familiar. Here is what’s changed:

• HSL 527 (the large conference room) is no longer available for recurring, weekly meetings or classes.
• If you request a room back-to-back with another reservation, please allow time for set up and clean up.
• Patrons are no longer required to pay a $75.00 fee for catered food events.

Reservations for meeting rooms and classrooms will still need HSL approval and confirmation. As in the past, you will receive email confirmations, as well as reminders about room equipment orientation and providing HSL with lead time for software installation and testing. Room 527 is still the only room suited for hot foods (chafing dishes, etc.).

We will be monitoring the changes and appreciate your feedback. If you have any questions about HSL room use policies and procedures, please contact HSL Room Reservations at hslroomreservation@unc.edu.
