Appointment: Community outreach and global health librarian

The University Libraries is pleased to welcome Hannah Burrows as community outreach and global health librarian, effective February 28.

In this role, Hannah will build relationships with global health practitioners, researchers, and students working on global health projects. She will present health literacy workshops to the public, and patient literacy workshops to students, researchers, and clinicians. Hannah will also partner with UNC’s global health researchers, faculty, and staff to support research and teaching activities on campus and in UNC’s global sites in China, Malawi, and Nicaragua.

Prior to this appointment, Hannah served as a public health analyst at RTI International in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Hannah served in the Peace Corps in Zambia in 2017.

Hannah holds an M.P.H. in epidemiology from the University of Texas School of Public Health. [Hannah’s] B.A. in communication of science and technology is from Vanderbilt University.
