A Conversation with Dr. Oliver Smithies

On March 30, 2009, the Health Sciences Library hosted Nobel Laureate Dr. Oliver Smithies for a conversation about information access and scientific research. With a welcome and introduction by Carol Jenkins, HSL Director (1986-2013), the event was moderated by Dr. Tony Waldrop, UNC-CH Vice Chancellor for Research and Development (2001-2010). Over 100 students, faculty, and staff were in attendance, and a Q & A session followed the interview..
