HSL Librarians Shine at Regional Medical Library Conference

The Health Sciences Library made big waves at the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Medical Library Association Annual Meeting, October 28-30 in Ocean City, MD. The following accolades were presented to HSL staff:

Beth Moreton

Beth Moreton, Clinical Nursing Librarian was awarded the Marguerite Abel Service Recognition Award given to a MAC member for exemplary service to the Chapter during the past year.

 

 

 

Rebecca McCall, Clinical Librarian

Rebecca McCall, Clinical Librarian, received the Award for Professional Excellence by a New Health Sciences Librarian. This award is presented to a MAC member for outstanding contributions in health sciences librarianship who has been in the profession for fewer than ten years.

 

 

 

Mary White, Global Public Health Librarian, received the 2018 Research and Assessment Grant which provides grant funding for research projects that promote and stimulate excellence in the field of health science librarianship.

 

 

 

The paper “Minor Splash or Major Surge? Assessing the Impact of an Institutional License to Covidence“, authored by Jamie L. Conklin, Sarah T. Wright, Rebecca C. McCall, Nandita S. Mani, Elizabeth O. Moreton, Jennifer S. Walker, and Mary White, was awarded first place in the Research Papers category.
