Digital Health Team Presents Workshop at 1789 Venture Lab

The Health Sciences Library’s Digital Health Team (Brian Moynihan, Lynn Eades, Richa Kanwar, and Rachel Murray) were invited to present a workshop on creating VR experiences to young entrepreneurs at the 1789 Venture Lab in downtown Chapel Hill on Friday, October 12, 2018.

Richa Kanwar, Research Assistant for Digital Health, presented on WondaVR. Rachel Murray, Research Assistant for AR/VR, presented on HP Reveal. The twenty participants were encouraged to work on their own projects and to try some of the AR/VR equipment (including an Oculus Go, Merge Cube, and Parker the AR Bear) provided by the Team.

1789 Venture Lab powered by Innovate Carolina, is the University’s central hub where entrepreneurship happens for all UNC students and grads with an idea for a for-profit, non-profit or social entrepreneurial venture. 1789 is a co-working space designed for all students to explore innovation and entrepreneurship, have an opportunity to meet other student entrepreneurs and start to grow their venture.
