Allegri earns Award of Excellence from UNC Network for Research Professionals

Fran_award-1030445.jpgFrancesca Allegri, interim assistant director and head of User Services at the UNC Health Sciences Library, earned an Award of Excellence from the UNC Network for Research Professionals (UNC-NRP) at their annual NRP Fall Event on Friday, November 6, 2015. This award, the first for UNC-NRP, was given in appreciation for her “outstanding dedication in supporting best practices in research and significant contributions to the mission of the UNC Network for Research Professionals with sincere appreciation from the UNC Network for Research Professionals Steering Committee.”

“This recognition means a great deal to me because it comes from such a sharing and caring community of accomplished colleagues,” Allegri said.

Allegri has contributed information support to the group, including helping develop and launch a phlebotomy course for research staff.

According to its website, “The UNC-NRP is a peer group that is open to all research personnel on campus to help increase awareness and communication of best practices through a series of educational seminars, resources, mentoring and networking programs.” The group launched in 2011 and was formerly called the UNC Network for Clinical Research Professionals.
